In a move that promises to propel the automotive repair industry into a new era, AutoShop Answers and Rilla have joined forces to unveil an initiative that integrates artificial intelligence into the core of automotive service training.

The announcement, made on April 27, 2025, in Houston, marks a pivotal moment as AutoShop Answers, renowned for its innovative training programs, partners with Rilla, a leader in AI-powered speech analytics, to redefine how customer engagement and service advisor coaching are approached.

The collaboration between these two industry giants has resulted in the incorporation of Rilla’s cutting-edge AI technology into AutoShop Answers’ coaching platform.

This integration promises to overhaul traditional training methods by offering real-time analysis of customer interactions, providing hands-free, actionable coaching insights.

By doing so, this initiative not only refines the art of customer service but also ensures operational excellence within the auto repair sector.

Sebastian Jimenez, the dynamic CEO of Rilla, is no stranger to innovation.

An NYU Stern graduate, Jimenez brings a unique blend of business savvy and a fresh perspective on coaching, influenced by his early days in stand-up comedy.

His approach is set to revolutionize training methods, making them not just educational but also engaging.

“With Rilla’s AI, we’re not just training — we’re transforming,” declared Todd Hayes, founder of AutoShop Answers and a veteran with three decades of experience in the auto repair industry.

Hayes’ enthusiasm for the initiative underscores its potential to elevate customer service beyond conventional boundaries.

The official launch of this venture was nothing short of spectacular, taking place during the sold-out Key to Key to Callbacks Weekend in Houston.

The event, which was standing-room-only, was a testament to the anticipation and excitement surrounding this new AI-driven approach.

Attendees were treated to a weekend filled with innovative insights, coaching breakthroughs, and an impressive 80 rounds of applause, indicating the audience’s approval and excitement.

The weekend’s events kicked off with a national online Strategy Saturday, hosted live by Glenn Piccolo of AutoShop Answers.

This online gathering set the stage for Todd Hayes to share pivotal moments from his extensive career, culminating in the official introduction of AutoShop Answers AIX, powered by Rilla.

The event’s highlight was undoubtedly Sebastian Jimenez’s presentation, where he introduced Rilla’s revolutionary capabilities to the automotive sector, setting a new benchmark for AI-powered live coaching and customer journey analysis.

Adding to the weekend’s excitement was Sunil Patel, CEO of Tekmetric, who visited to celebrate Tekmetric’s milestone of reaching 10,000 auto shops nationwide.

This achievement, along with the presence of ShopGenie, another valued program sponsor, highlighted the collaborative spirit and shared success within the industry.

The event also took a moment to recognize individual achievements.

Lynn Massengill received special recognition for her remarkable accomplishment of surpassing both the $300,000 and $400,000 monthly revenue marks through AutoShop Answers’ coaching.

This acknowledgment serves as a powerful testament to the impact that training, innovation, and dedication can have on individual success.

As AutoShop Answers continues to build on its momentum, the unveiling of the SPARR system, an AI-automated presentation platform, further advances its mission to empower service advisors and deliver top-tier customer service.

This new system is poised to enhance the effectiveness of service advisors, ensuring that they are equipped with the best tools to serve their customers.

Looking ahead, anticipation is already building for the next AutoShop Answers Key to Key to Callbacks Program, scheduled for May 17–18.

With seats rapidly filling up, it is clear that the industry is eager to embrace this new AI-driven era of training and customer engagement.

In an industry historically resistant to change, this collaboration between AutoShop Answers and Rilla is a breath of fresh air.

It signifies a shift towards embracing technology not just as a tool, but as a transformative force that can elevate the standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

As we watch this initiative unfold, it’s clear that the future of the automotive repair industry is not just about fixing cars—it’s about redefining how businesses interact with and serve their customers.
